Ms.Nyaboke holds a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Daystar University, a Higher Diploma in Psychological Counseling from the Kenya Institute of Professional Counseling, and a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management.She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Religious Studies from the University of Nairobi.

In the academic and training sphere, she contributed as a facilitator and coordinator, including teaching the SSP program at Egerton University (Nairobi Campus). Successfully coordinated and processed practicum placements for students from diverse disciplines such as psychology, social work, and community development, as well as supported research initiatives. Notably Ms.Nyaboke facilitated a one-month trauma counseling program for fifty uniformed staff cadets from Southern Sudan at the Prisons Staff Training College.Ms.Nyaboke is a strong advocate for education and rehabilitation, initiated formal education programs within major prison stations, enabling inmates to access academic opportunities. This initiative resulted in remarkable success stories, including inmates achieving high academic grades and progressing to earn university degrees in fields such as Veterinary Medicine and Law through both local and international institutions.

Over the course of her career, she has demonstrated leadership through appointments to several strategic committees, including the Human Resource Management Advisory Committee, Gender Mainstreaming Committee, Review Committees for Chapters 90 and 92 of the Laws of Kenya, the Young Offenders’ Review Board, and the Senior Officers’ Mess Management Committee.She also served in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Prisons Department from 1989 to September 2009 as a Social Welfare and Psychological Counselor. During this period, held key responsibilities including managing the Welfare Office, coordinating rehabilitation and reintegration programs, providing psychological counseling to staff, their families, and inmates, and overseeing welfare programs. Additional duties included supervising adult literacy and nursery school programs, mobilizing resources through donor engagement, and coordinating recreational facilities and activities.

Furthermore, Dr. Lutomia's experience in education leadership and management is noteworthy. Serving as the County Executive Committee member (Minister) for Education in the Kakamega County Government from 2018-2022, he has played a crucial role in developing policies and procedures that promote effective and efficient management of learning institutions. Earlier, he served as an assistant director of education based at Jogoo house before moving to Kakamega County as CECM. Currently, Dr. George Lutomia is the Chairperson Kakamega County Education Board ( CEB)
